Saturday night was a festival (I’m not sure what for). It was a wonderful, warm damp night with bouts of rain. The shrine where the small festival took place is right next to Ominami-san’s place, so he had a party and invited all the KAIR and others. The festival itself was very small, consisting of some food stalls and old people singing karaoke, but then there was a fireworks display which far outdid the scale of the event. I tried to take a picture of the drunken firemen ready to put out a blaze, but it was too dark.
